Yes, The Peaks at Snowmass is Mt. Crested Butte’s first new neighborhood to come online in 18 years!
How many homes exist today?
The Peaks at Snowmass development consists of 6 newly built townhouses across 3 buildings.
What is the future of the community?
The Peaks at Snowmass development will someday include another 10 townhouses (5 buildings) sited behind the current homes for a maximum build out of 16 total homes and 8 buildings.
Can you short term rent at the Peaks at Snowmass?
Yes! Mt Crested Butte allows for unlimited short term, seasonal or long term renting.
How close are the ski slopes?
The Silver Queen and Red Lady Express quad ski lifts are about a flat, 10 min walk along Snowmass Road.
Are these townhomes or condos?
These are townhomes. You have your own water, sewer and utility connection and you own the land beneath your property.

How many ski lifts and runs at Crested Butte?
There are 15 ski lifts that serve over 160 ski runs.
What is the average snowfall at Crested Butte?
We average 264 inches each ski season. But some years we see well over 300 inches of snowfall.
What is the elevation?
The base area is 9,375 feet and the top of the ski mountain is 12,162 feet.
What is the longest ski run?
The longest run is 2.6 miles from the top of the mountain to the bottom of the East River ski lift.
Who owns Crested Butte Mountain Resort?
Vail Resorts owns and operates the ski resort.
About The Peaks at Snowmass Association
Is the community managed by an Association?
Yes.
What does the Association do for the properties and the owners?
The Association manages the landscaping, irrigation, the road, snow removal, common area maintenance and pays the common area taxes.
How much are Association dues?
Right now, the dues are estimated to be $500/month per home.
Who designed the homes?
Local Crested Butte architect Ben White designed the homes at The Peaks at Snowmass.
